Board Members

Aria Sulhan Witoelar

Mr. Witoelar studied at the University of Indonesia (UI), Faculty of Engineering, majoring in Industrial Engineering (1990). He was active in the Student Senate, founded UI Tennis Club and became Chairman of the UI Cup 1993. During campus years, in 1990 - 1994, Aria volunteered in Dana Mitra Lingkungan Foundation (www.dml.or.id). He also started his first company, PT Gaung Cipta Semesta, organizing international cultural exchanges in 1994. Since 1996, with a partner, he established am award-winning industry leader in digital agency solution, PT Bubu Kreasi Perdana. Many clients trust their digital campaign to Bubu, including Telkomsel, Unilever (Citra, Sunlight, etc), Intel, MeadJohnson, Reckitt Benckiser (Dettol, Durex, etc.), LG, Indofood, and Manchester United. In 2003, he became a shareholder in PT Tiga Pilar Sekuritas, a member of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI). In 2012, the company was acquired by Morgan Stanley. In 2004, Aria with a partner, took over the shares of PT Borneo Indo Bara, the second largest coal mine in South Kalimantan, which was then sold to Sinar Mas Group in 2007. Then they invested in a large coal mine in West Kalimantan (PT Yamabhumi Palaka) and a coal mine in Riau (PT Riau Bara Harum).  In 2008, Aria founded and became the CEO of PT Arya Watala Capital (AWC), a private equity company. Since 2015, AWC focuses in developing renewable energy Independent Power Producers using solar photovoltaic and mini hydro, and doing energy efficiency businesses (Energy Services Company/ ESCO). Since 2010, Aria is also a member of the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Renewable Energy and Environment Department.

Jatna Supriatna

Prof. Supriatna is a Professor at the, Department of Biology, Faculty of Mathematics, and Science Chairman of the Research Center for Climate Change University of Indonesia. He also serves as Vice Chairman of the Belantara Foundation; and Senior Lecturer at the Biology Department. Prior, he was Director of Biodiversity and Conservation Studies; and Coordinator of Graduate Program on Conservation Biology of the University of Indonesia. He was Chief Editor of Tropical Biodiversity since 1992, Editor of Asia Primate Journal (2008), a member of the Board of Editor of the International Journal of Wildlife Policy and Law, a member of the Board of Editor of Tropical Ecology, Consulting Editor of Biosphere Conservation, and a member of the Board of Advisor of Earthwatch Institute (2002). He also served a member of the Board of Supervision of Bornean Orangutan Survival Foundation and a member of the Board of the Biodiversity and Development Foundation.

In 1999, he served as Chairman of Indonesian Biologist Association, Jakarta Chapter. In 2006, he was elected President of South East Asia Primatologist Association, and in 2007 he was assigned as Chairman of IUCN-SSC PSG South East Asia. He has also been an active member of several international organizations: IUCN-World Conservation of Protected Area, IUCN- Specialist Survival Commision-Primate Specialist Group, International Primatological Society, Society for Conservation Biologist, and many others. He served several high-level assignments by the Government of Indonesia. For his dedication at the conservation and environment works, he received a distinguished award from his Royal Highness Prince Bernhard of the Netherland in 1999 as an Officer of the Most Excellence Order of Golden Ark Award. In 2009, he also received the most privileged award from President B.J. Habibie, or Habibie Award for Outstanding Achievements on Natural Science research in 2008. In 2011 He also received Achmad Bakrie Award for his contribution in the field of science in Indonesia. He has published nine books.

The latest one being Indonesia Primates published by Springer, New York. He obtained his Master of Science (1986) and Doctorate (1991) from the University of New Mexico, USA, and Pre and Post-Doctoral from Columbia University in New York. There are two species that are named after him, namely Draco supriatnai (reptile) and Tarsius supriatnai (mammal).

Sri Indrastuti (Tuti) Hadiputranto

Ms. Hadiputranto is the Chair of the Board of Directors of PT. Bentang Alam Indonesia. One of the founding partners of Hadiputranto, Hadinoto, and Partners (HHP), or Baker MacKenzie Indonesia, Ms. Hadiputranto is a well-respected lawyer. She is a senior partner in the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice Group. She serves as chairman of the Capital Market Lawyers' Professional Standards Board and head of the Research and Development for the Capital Market Lawyers’ Association, where she is responsible for reviewing drafts of various securities regulations. Her professional affiliations likewise include membership to the Indonesian Legal Consultants Association and the Indonesian Legal Consultants Association. She also sits as member of the Board of Advisors of USINDO (the United States-Indonesia Society). Ms. Hadiputranto was the first lawyer to be registered with Bapepam to carry out capital market work in Indonesia. She has since been heavily involved in mergers and acquisitions and debt and corporate restructuring work for telecommunications and other major Indonesian companies.
