What the program does
The program works on the terms of Indonesia’s energy transition: what the power market has to become, how early retirement of coal is financed, and who bears the cost of the change.
Its analysis runs from national market design down to sub-national socio-economic consequences, and from carbon pricing policy to the credit methodologies that make early retirement bankable. Much of the current work sits under one initiative, Making Just Energy Transition Work in Indonesia, and is published in the Landscape 360 series.
